Highland Creek Advisors Welcomes Oscar-Nominated Producer and Creative Strategist Lauren Beck

Highland Creek Advisors is proud to announce the addition of Lauren Beck as a Partner, expanding the firm’s leadership at the intersection of economic strategy, storytelling, and scalable community impact.

Beck is an Oscar-nominated producer and creative strategist whose work bridges film, brand storytelling, and social impact. She earned an Academy Award nomination for Manchester by the Sea, and her producing credits span Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria, the Emmy-nominated documentary Through a Lens Darkly, and Opposite Field, which The New York Times called “a home run.” Her collaborations with artist Billy Gerard Frank have been featured at The Venice Biennale and the Brooklyn Museum, with support from the Ford Foundation and The National Trust for Scotland.

Beyond cinema, Beck has shaped narratives for global powerhouses including PepsiCo, Calvin Klein, and Condé Nast, as well as NGOs and institutions. She pioneered a model of integrated creative production that fused emerging technology and bespoke teams to build multi-platform storytelling experiences.

Her career began documenting the rise of hip-hop—beginning with Public Enemy—a formative experience that cemented her belief in the power of narrative to illuminate culture and drive change.

At Highland Creek Advisors, Beck will lead the firm’s Storytelling & Movement-Building practice, applying her visionary approach to craft strategies rooted in authenticity, creativity, and measurable impact. She will develop and lead partnerships that help clients translate complex ideas into powerful narratives—aligning story with strategy to drive action, investment, and long-term results.

Beck is an Adjunct Professor at Yale University, serves on the board of 1952 Africa, and continues to teach and mentor creative leaders globally.

“Lauren’s work has moved audiences around the world—and she brings that same power to helping organizations realize their boldest visions,” said Don Graves, Founding Partner of Highland Creek Advisors. “Her arrival reflects our belief that narrative is not just communication, but a catalyst for impact, alignment, and growth.”
